- MBA, University of Pittsburgh (specializing in finance)
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, PE 022535 E specifically in
  acoustics, vibrations, and noise (certified by testing)
- Full member (Originally Board Certified in 1976) of the Institute of Noise Control Engineers (INCE);
  past or present member of the Acoustical Society of America, American Society of Mechanical
  Engineers, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers; and National
  Council of Acoustical Consultants
